I really believe simplicity is key in remembering little newborn babies as they were, with their little flaky feet, ickle milk spots and curled up hands.

All these details you soon forget in the whirlwind of parenthood.

Your photoshoot will be of your beautiful baby and family – no distractions.

I don’t use props, but I love it when parents bring special keepsakes like a knitted teddy or blanket.  

Sibling and family images are included in all of my packages. 

My approach is relaxed and baby-led, keeping the session calm and fun for you all.

My style is snuggling in, capturing the little details & gently guiding the session.

The Classic Newborn Packages – The Details

 

Siblings are welcome at any shoot, I love capturing the bond between brothers and sisters. 

The Classic Newborn sessions are best captured in the first 5-14 days, they can be done up to 3 weeks old. In the early days, babies are still in that gorgeous squishy phase – all curly and sleepy from being in the womb. 

A session usually lasts around 2 hours, but always on the baby’s timescale. The way I work means your baby will be photograph awake, asleep – it’s totally baby-led and about capturing them just as they are.  If you would like a shorter shoot or your baby is older than 3 weeks please see my Simplicity Package below.

Simplicity Newborn Package

This photography package is perfect for older newborn babies or those wanting a shorter shoot. (Suitable for babies aged 1 week – 8 weeks old). It is a great option if you would like simple images of your baby and family images too.  This package is great for premature babies too up to around 15 weeks old. 

Babies start to ‘uncurl’ a week or so after birth and become more aware of their surroundings.  We do not spend time in this hour getting babies to sleep.  However, this means we get some beautiful ‘awake’ images as your baby’s little personality will start to shine through. I’m there to capture them just as they are.

How to Book Your Photoshoot

Please use my contact form where you can send me your details. We will then speak at a later date to arrange a time for your shoot and I can answer any questions that you may have. A £50 deposit is payable at the time of booking. 

Once you have booked your session, I will send you a guide about what to expect, what to bring and my full address. It is a really fun and relaxing experience, the newborn shoot is often the first time that parents get to escape all the visitors and the chaos of having a newborn! Once you get here, it is an opportunity to sit back and admire your baby and totally relax.   

 

Have school-age children?

I work some weekends these get booked up quickly.  I do offer to split the shoot into two sections. The baby during the day and sibling images can be taken after school,  or at 9 am so that you can then get them to school. The feedback has been great.

Here are a few FAQs I often get asked:

When should I book the session? Ideally before your baby is here. just after your 20-week scan. I also have a flexible diary so often get last-minute slots due to early / or late babies. If your baby is already here still get in touch,.

What training have you had? I have trained with numerous mentors and UK’s leading newborn photographers and have 12 years of experience too.

My baby is 3 weeks old am I too late to have a newborn session? No not at all, ideally we photograph newborns in the first 14 days because they are still very sleepy and curled up from being in the womb. However, I book newborn shoots up to 8 weeks old. After 3 weeks I would advise you to book my Simplictyy package for babies aged 1-8 weeks old.

Do I need to bring anything like hats etc? Not really, unless you have anything special to have photographed with your baby, babies are perfect just as hey are.  I will also send you an info pack when you book which covers what you need to bring.

Are siblings allowed at the shoot? YES! I love capturing families and the love between siblings.

How long do I have to wait to view my gallery/images? Usually, your gallery link will be sent within 5-10 working days.

We’ve been to Jess three times now and she’s been so welcoming, calm and professional. We’ve always been a bit apprehensive about the children ‘playing up’ but she’s completely but us at ease and allowed us to go at our own pace, meaning everyone relaxed and the results we’re just what we wanted.
