Frequently asked questions:

How far in advance do I need to book?

The earlier the better.  As a popular newborn baby photographer in Norwich I tend to get booked up to 4 – 6 weeks ahead, sometimes longer.  I can take bookings up to around 6 months in advance. Sometimes I do get cancellations, so please contact me in case I have a last-minute slot available.

How do I book?

Take a look at my price list where you can find all the packages I offer, and contact me via the contact form or email me at  I can give a bit more info, send my online booking calendar, which has all the booking form and payment details and answer any questions you may have. I also send out an information sheet with my address, what to wear at the session, what to bring and so forth.

Do I need to pay a booking fee?

Yes,  I cannot hold a slot without the package being paid in full or opt to pay the £75 deposit to secure your slot and package.  Once this has been paid your date/time is secure and I will send you information about the shoot and what to expect.

How long do sessions take?

I do not clock watch and take the time that is needed, most sessions last 1 hour and newborns can last up to 2 – 2.5 hours. Mini sessions have time restrictions so sometimes the full-length option is good.

what is your pricing?

I have upfront pricing see here, and offer packages only,  with the option to add on products & prints too. Packages start from £225 and my clients spend on average £300-400

Where are you based and do you travel?

My home studio is based in Sprowston, Norwich Norfolk.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is plenty of free off road parking alongside my house.

What hours do you work & do you work weekends?

I currently shoot weekdays across 3 days only, whilst occasionally holding mini shoots at weekends (e.g Christmas and Mummy and me Mini shoots). Due to the volume of enquiries, I do my best to respond to all within 48 hours.

 Are you insured?

Yes, 100% and I am also a member of the British Association of Newborn Photographers. I have been given PRO LEVEL membership – my work has been assessed by a panel of judges, all baby photographers themselves. I have had newborn posing paediatric first aid.

What if my baby/child ‘doesn’t behave’?

Before the session, you will receive an information sheet and in this, I express that the best thing is not to worry!  I don’t expect children to ‘perform’ and I do not want them to. It will result in staged photos. My approach is laid back and relaxed. We can stop anytime for drinks, snacks and nappy changes. I have two children of my own and in my experience not rushing in, and letting them get to know me is the best approach.  If for any reason they really are not feeling it or are ill (very rarely happens) we can rebook. It might mean waiting a few more weeks but it will ensure you get those portraits to treasure.

How do I view my images?

You will receive a password protected gallery link usually within 5-10 working days & this is active for 5 days.
