By now, you have probably heard a lot about “poses” and “posing your baby”… but what do I mean by “poses”?
Poses are positions your baby is throughout the photoshoot. During the first few weeks of life, the way your baby sleeps and lies is still deeply influenced by the 9 months spent in the womb, so we want to capture all of their little habits!
To ensure the highest level of comfort at all times for your tiny one, our session will be entirely “baby led”. What does this mean?
During these 8 years as a photographer, I have developed what I call my flow/list of poses I aim for, but if baby has other ideas and stretches out… we will simply follow what he or she needs.
For example, some babies love being on their front and this allows us to capture certain details, where as some will wriggle and you’ll then see me try a different pose.
To give you an idea of how these different “poses” look like, I have created a slideshow with some that are usually adored by parents.
Before your shoot I will ask if you would like to aim to include some of these poses in your time at the studio… so write down your favourite ones!
