Choosing Your Baby Photographer

It can be overwhelming choosing a photographer for your new baby and family at what can be a busy time for you all. It’s the little details…

As a photographer, I am quite obsessed with the little details of your baby. From the serious expressions, to the mischievous little smiles!

It is sometimes hard for parents to be comfortable in front of the camera – I’m the same! I try to steer clear of cheesy or forced poses and I guide people into natural poses and cuddles instead.

Simplicity

I do not use props with newborn shoots, there is no need. Instead, I have a supply of wraps, rompers and fabrics to keep your baby snug. The focus should be on them and my favourite images of my babies were simply of them – no distraction.

Trained to care

I have invested a lot in my extensive training to not only provide you with quality images, but to also be able to provide you with a relaxing shoot. Over the years I’ve picked up many soothing skills and a wide range of tricks to engage children to get the best out of your photoshoot. I am a pro level member of the BANPAS (Baby And Newborn Photographer Association).

Highly experienced photographer

Over the past 9 years I have become a highly recommended newborn baby photographer in Norfolk and I have captured many hundreds of babies for their family.

My sessions are totally baby and child led, I am a huge believer in capturing babies as they are. If a baby does not sleep we will still get beautiful images.

I don’t just provide you with images, but with a memorable experience from start to finish.

I am a Mum too

As a mum, I remember that first trip out with a new baby can seem a daunting mission! Now my children are getting older, I know that getting kids ready for a shoot can be a task as we all know they will resist at every chance! However, once you are here it is a calm environment and I make it fun too.

I don’t set high expectations of your child and I will never shout orders. I want the session to be a bit like playtime so this is entertaining for your older babies and toddlers. For newborns, I will soothe them to settle awake or help them go off to sleep, my gentle baby-led posing means your images will be beautiful and timeless.

Your privacy matters

Not everyone wants their images all over social media, that’s why I never share without permission. My privacy policy can be read in full here.

Service is everything

I remember being so excited to see the professional images that I had taken of my own family, so I won’t keep you waiting weeks! I know you’ll want to see your photographs soon after your shoot, on average I send gallery links 5-10 working days later.

As an accomplished newborn baby photographer, I will make the shoot gentle and calm, in turn this means that you will enjoy the shoot and love the images too.
